Peace and tranquility. All story regards to Islam and spirituality of a Muslim.

Guess what?!

Yes! It is new semester. Tomorrow will be the new semester. Finally I completed my practical training. But the report is awaiting for me to be completed. :-( To tell you the truth, it is an awesome experience even though I faced a lot of dilemmas. Now let’s learn from the past and open up a new chapter of life. :-)

I think of something that I would like to share with you all (as a starter for a new semester).

“Hey! Brad, Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince is coming out soon. I do not want to miss out. Let’s watch it together.” said John.

Harry Potter

“Yeah, sure! But we need to book early the tickets. Otherwise I can say to you that we won’t get any place.” replied Brad.

“Ok then. Leave it to me. I’ll will assure you we won’t miss that movie.” said John.

You see the word “book”? Of course is not the book that we read. It means we try to order in advance for something we want.

But have any of us think about that we also can book for something that are very important in our whole life? The HEREAFTER.

We always try to book early so that we can get the best place if for watching movie or else to ensure we can get the thing exactly we want. eg booking for a book that will be publish soon or out of stock. Same goes to the booking of HEREAFTER. We actually need to book for our life after death.

If we want a good and peaceful life (paradise) we need to act fast and correct so that we can obtain the best place like the seating in cinema. If we opt for a disaster life (hell), we choose to do nothing and do it wrongly. Like buying the tickets for top movies on the spot whereby it may be sold out or only left a few seats that are not very strategic.

In a simplier word, if you want to book for a better life in the hereafter, follow what HE commended and leave what HE forbidden. And if you want to book for a choatic life, do whatever you want without following the rules set by HIM.

P/S: This is only my humble thought. Correct me if I’m wrong coz I’m still in the learning process. TQ.

1. What if Allah couldn’t take the time to bless us today because we couldn’t take the time to thank Him yesterday?

2. What if Allah decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn’t follow Him today?

3. What if we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when Allah sent the Rain?

4. What if Allah didn’t walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day?

5. What if Allah took away the Quran tomorrow because we would not read it today ?

6. What if Allah took away His message because we failed to listen to the messenger?

7. What if the door of the Mosque was closed because we didn’t open the door of our heart?

8. What if Allah stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?

9. What if Allah would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him?

10. What if Allah answered our prayers the way we answer His calls?

11. What if Allah met our needs the way we give Him our lives?

It is already 26th of Ramadhan. Only 4 days left. As stated in one of the hadith, the third phase of fasting month is where the Muslims are given the chance to “escape from hell fire”. This mean that if someone really repent from all the sins he had done with sincerity, insyaALLAH, HE will forgive those sin.

We must remember that our Almighty God is the most Gracious and Merciful. As long as the DoomsDay has not arrived, we are still having the chance. Sometime we keep saying “I can’t do it”, “I don’t know how to do it”, “I had tried before but failed” and etc. Whether we realised or not actually there are a clear path for us.

My friends, I would like to throw a scenario for us to ponder. You are still in the secondary school and looking at your friends, almost all of them had their own mobile phone. The most common one is Nokia 3310. Of course, being together with them, you have a strong feeling to own one. Thus at such a young age, you will definitely request it from your parents. The request either be granted or not, depend on your parent’s decision, rite? They may grant your request with condition.

What I want to highlight is request. If we want something, we need to request it. As a Muslim supplication (Doa) is always the most powerful weapon for a Muslim. Muslims must remember that if they have any request, they must request it from HIM. You want ALLAH to accept your repent, supplicate to HIM. There is a hadith stating about supplication :

“O Son (& daughter) of Adam, as long as you supplicate to Me and have hope in me I will pardon you in spite of what you have done, and I do not care. O Son (& daughter) of Adam, if your sins were so numerous as to reach the lofty regions of the sky, then you asked My forgiveness, I would forgive you, and I do not care. O Son (& daughter) of Adam, if you were to meet Me with enough sins to fill the earth, then met Me, not associating anything with Me (in worship), I shall greet you with its equivalent in forgiveness.’” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi. And Ahmad and Al-Darimi transmitted it from Abu Dharr)

Don’t you see?still unable to believe it?you have to..;-) ALLAH will grant all the wish from HIS servant. It is a matter of time. Some been granted so fast. Some quite late. And most interesting sometime HE grant your wish through other people. It’s realyy wonderful if we are able to get closer to HIM.. :-)

Well, today I had to lead one of the group to Masjid Jamek and Masjid India to help in Solat Awareness Campaign 2 (SAC2). Another group held it at Central Market. Basically SAC2 is to survey about the public awareness about solat especially among Muslim teenagers. As usual, there are many feedbacks. Some are good and motivating. Some are bad and disappointing.

I will sum up all the feedback for the ease of readers. Overall all the Muslims realized the importance of solat. Solat is one of the Pillar of Islam. They admitted that they sometime are lazy and too tired to perform it. Some also responded that the surrounding environment like friends, entertainment did influence them. Speaking about environment, I’ld like to add something. So far after living for 21 years in this world, i do admit that environment shape mostly our whole personality. Why am I saying this? Later i’ll share with you all. For those who had experienced it, they should understand what I mean. Hmm.. So that is the feedback we get.

By the way, congrats to all the participants. I can see that there are a lot of new faces. Despite fasting, they were eager to join this campaign which was held at 2pm. Hopefully this will be the first step for all of you to continue this good deeds.

Today 14th August 2008 which is also the 14th of Ramadhan. Tonite will be the nite of 15th which mean half month of Ramadhan had passed. For the Muslims, they surely need to reflect back what they had done for the past 15 days. Ramadhan is the month for the ummah. Full with barakah and rahmat. This the month where the Al-Mighty God grant forgiveness to those who are sincerely repent.

Let us together think back again what we had done for the last 15 days. Do we really appreciate each and every second we have? Do we have the iiatiatives to put in more effort in our ibadah? Ask yourself and be prepared for this coming 15 days or Ramadhan. Grab the remaining days and perform at our best. Happy fasting and may Allah bless all of us. ;-)
